My lab seriously got into a bag of peanuts and went to town. She cracks the shells open and only eats the nuts.
Each and every drop of Shiner Beer is brewed right in the little brewery in Shiner, TX. The Spoetzel Brewery has been going strong since 1909 and is nearing her 100yr anniversary. Today Kim and I made a small detour on our trip home from New Braunfels to the brewery. They graciously took us on a tour of the place and offered us 4 free beers upon arrival. What a magic place…It is serisouly like going to Willy Wonka’s factory for me. Get in the car and stop into that little town for cold beers and smiles. Oh yeah can you believe they pump out 462,000 bottles of beer a day here and only employ 55 fine folks.

Seattle has emo, Cali breeds the teeny pop rock stars, Nashville has country, and NYC breeds rappers, but right here in TX we have our own music. Texas country and it is totally different than just regular country. This kid has mixed a little TX country lyrics with Southern Rock to put out a quality CD and hes only 19. Everytime he is in town we get on out to hear him plucked the strings. Johnny Cooper. He looks like John Mayer w/ curly hair and plays a guitar like Stevie Ray. Take a listen HERE

The fine folks at Red Bull never stop amazing us. I don’t know of any other company that puts so much time and money into AWESOME projects for the masses. It’s probably because the 2cent worth of liquid that they sell for $2 by the millions…but hey good for them.
So the point of this post…Houston was luckily enough to be the home of the 2008 Red Bull Art of Can and as I live here I got the chance to check it out. Some truly inspiring pieces there.

If you have to end a week, might as well make it Sunday fun day
BLU always blows my mind with his work.
I have been awful about updating lately, but I promise to get back at it. After returning from Florida and finally settling back in, last week was jam packed with errands and projects. Most of which were pretty uneventful, but I did manage to get a new ski. Now we’ve got a ski to hit up slider sessions and quick wakeskate rides. Then of course it was the patriotic 4th of July weekend so I’ll have plenty of photos to update the fun tomorrow.
