Sunrises like this every morning as my watch ends isn’t a bad way to end the day.

We made the return from Brasil safely, even though the last 6 days consisted of 20-30kts of head wind, 18ft seas and LOTS of reduced speed days. it’ll be a few weeks in the CONUS loading up for the next trip to Saudi Arabia, garbage compared to South America. It’s 31 days at sea to get there, that’s a long time on a 400ft ship.
Upon landing at the Rio airport I spotted this amazing clock, old-school ticker style like it hasn’t been changed since the 60′s and judging by the tile it may not have.

This morning I got a nice suprise with my breakfast, a concussion boom. I ran outside to find the results of a chemical plant explosion roughly 2 miles away. The sirens were already blaring in route within 30seconds. The tank stored Toluene, but with the wind blowing so hard it was dispersed and not as dangerous as people believed.
We set up a camera in the back of the reception for everyone to have fun all on their own after the wedding ceremony and between drinks at the bar. Even though it was my wedding, I had the best dang time in the world. Check out the “viewable” photos RIGHT HERE
Highest bungee in New Zealand and we took our turn. You could probably do math problems on the way down its so long.
Myself and 9 other buddies pulled into Texas Motor Speedway last Thursday for an adventure we were completely not ready for. Loaded with a travel trailer, 100lbs of meat, 2 smokers, 780 beers we pulled into our infield spot for the Dickies 500 NASCAR race. Talk about a wild ride. Welcome to the Wild West is what the sign should read. More photos coming.
I felt like a 10yr old kid again this weekend. The airshow returned to Houston for their annual Wings Over Houston show and brought my favorite group, The Blue Angels back to perform. We used to go every year, but it has probably been a good 12yrs since Ive been, just wish I had a better zoom. View the pool at FLICKR
